What is God's Living Room?

God's Living Room is an official FKA Hotspot located in Mission Hills.  We feel that God has called us to come together outside of "church" and fellowship with one another.

Well, what's an "FKA Hotspot"?

The Hotspots are groups of teenagers (mostly from FKA) that get together on the 1st, 3rd, and the occasional 5th Tuesday nights of each month and fellowship.  Meetings include prayer, worship, study of the Word, and time to meet people and build relationships.

So, what the heck is an FKA?

FKA is the youth group of the Malibu Vineyard.  We feel that FKA is called to be a blueprint of what youth ministry is to look like in the twenty-first century.  FKA meets on Friday nights at the Malibu Vineyard Church located (surprise) in lovely coastal Malibu.  We encourage all forms of giftings, including musical gifts, and such musically talented individuals such as Jason Wade and Sergio Andrade of Lifehouse, Kendall Payne, and the members of Vella are all products of FKA and the Malibu Vineyard.  However, I (the webmaster) believe that the true strength of FKA lies in its ability to reach youth for Jesus, and to teach His Word authentically and sincerely.

Back to God's Living Room.  How long have you guys been around?

God's Living Room started the week of Christmas vacation in 2000.  Originally it was a prayer meeting led by Elias Galarza and Kathleen Baile.  The prayer meeting accumulated a small but faithful attendance and served as an active site for the creation and maintenance of good friendships.  Then, in July of 2001, GLR became an OFFICIAL FKA Hotspot.
